articles. PAO can also be found on FIRSTSEARCH and some of these articles
may be available in full text.
- Humanities Index - This is a more detailed index to periodical articles
that includes more scholarly publications in the humanities, including
history. The electronic version of Humanities Index is available on
FIRSTSEARCH, a group of commercial databases that the library subscribes
to. FIRSTSEARCH is available through LIBERTY. There is also a paper
version of this index in the Reference Index section. There is a book
review section included.

includes books and periodical articles. The electronic version is
available on FIRSTSEARCH. There is also a paper version in the Reference

the social sciences and includes coverage of the history of the
presidency. The electronic version is available on FIRSTSEARCH. There is
also a paper version in the Reference Index section.
- America: History and Life - This index has the widest coverage for
periodical articles and book reviews in American history. It is available
on CD-ROM on the table next to the Reference Index section.
- Lexis/Nexis - This commercial service includes, among other things,
access to the full text of newspaper articles. It is accessible through
LIBERTY.
